I was talking with a client today who had to cancel her appointment, because like many small business owners, anything that effects our cash flow will cause us to tighten up on the spending. That said, we also need to be resilient and use this time to brainstorm how to maximize our time, strategize our comeback and how better to do that than to connect and network with others in a time of need. We have SO many small business owners that I don't know enough about! I have a sense of closeness with all of you, in that we share similar pains right now and while we search for how to better our business, we are equally panicking about cash flow! We are so busy with running our own businesses, that we haven't had the time to really get to know each other so I want to begin today! Having come from a business consulting background and working with so many businesses I met as part of EO and other groups... it dawned on me... I have the ability to connect all of you with one another! I'm feverishly working on an email to go out to all of you, with a form so that you can enter your contact info and any special offers or gofundme efforts you may have going now to support your people. When business minded people get together we have an uncanny ability to find a way out of no way. I'd like to host a virtual happy hour for anyone interested but first lets gather some info for a directory I can get up, and then I can host a video wine hour. Looking to hear from all of you!
For transparency, I wanted to let you all know this is an incredibly difficult time not only for some of our clients but also for us, and our staff. As a small business, halting business with no cash flow puts an extreme strain on everything and I am strategizing on how to take care of our staff now, our clients when you return, and the salon in the long term. I trust that in taking care of others before ourselves, we can come back stronger. Your loyalty is more important than ever to us and we hope to continue serving you.
